How many types of FlyVue fly tray are available?
FlyVue has 5 different tray types available. Our Streamer Patch tray is perfect for larger flies such as streamers or wooly buggers, while our Middle Fork, Hex Tray and Picket Fence style trays are highly flexible for use with wet or dry flies, midges or nymphs. FlyVue also offers a Split-Shot tray which has two integrated split-shot boxes anchored to the fly tray.
What is FlyVue made from?
FlyVue's chassis is made from anodized marine grade aluminum. The sidewalls are high density UV resistant foam. The spine piece and catch-frame is made from tough mold injected nylon with glass fiber.
How should I clean my FlyVue unit?
To clean FlyVue’s metal parts, use a soft damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or detergents. Use the provided microfiber cleaning cloth to wipe the lens. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaners on the lens as it may scratch or fog the surface. If your FlyVue unit gets sand or grit inside, remove the trays and rinse it under cold running
water. After rinsing, leave it out on a counter-top overnight to dry.
How do I reposition the fly trays?
FlyVue’s chassis can hold fly trays in 4 different positions
• Position 1: Upper Deck, Floor position
• Position 2: Upper Deck, Snap Hinges
• Position 3) Lower Deck, Snap Hinges
• Position 4) Lower Deck, Floor Position
Positions 2 and 3 use snap-hinges. Simply press the FlyVue tray into the snap hinges (each fly tray has two small plastic pins on the sides).
How long is FlyVue's warranty?
FlyVue™ is backed by a 3 Year warranty for parts and workmanship. If during this period your FlyVue unit is found to be defective, please contact us at support@smithcreek.co (please have your original purchase receipt ready if possible). The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage from everyday use,, nor damage due to severe impact or abuse. Replacement parts available from Smith Creek.
