Smith Creek's Rig Keeper™ is the perfect solution to keep your dropper rigs tangle free and ready to go. As well as having a place to store the rigs that you’ve just changed out, Rig Keeper makes it easy to pre-make dropper rigs the night before and to have them ready to use on the day. Not spending valuable time making up rigs while you’re fishing means more time with your flies on the water. You can wear it, pocket it or put it in your tackle box. The raised ribs keep flies, hooks and leaders from getting hung up and damaged, while micro slits in the EVA foam body hold them securely in place.
The Smith Creek Rig Keeper ™ is the dropper rig system that nymph fishermen have been asking us for. This fly fishing rig keeper allows anglers to easily carry multiple hook rigs that are held securely and protected from damage or loss by its patented exposed ribs. It holds all types of dropper rigs; Czech, truck and trailer, dry fly and dropper, multiple wets, even works with salmon and steelhead setups. But whatever the style it holds leaders and rigs without tangles and it’s quick and simple to use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many dropper rigs can Rig Keeper™ carry?
The Smith Creek Rig Keeper™ is just the right size to accommodate up to 8 dropper rigs.
What are the notches for on the side of the Rig Keeper™?
Smith Creek Rig Keeper's patented design has die cut notches and slits on the side for securing line and loose ends. You can also use them to secure split shot. To do so, just pull the line through a slot until the shot is snugged up against the foam body. To keep the line from tangling, start by securing the anchor first and the dropper second. You can secure line without hooks in the micro-slits along the edge. Simply reverse the direction of winding to safely remove your rigs without tangling your line.
Where should I attach my Rig Keeper™?
Smith Creek's Rig Keeper™ can be placed in a vest or pack pocket, or you can attach it using the provided stainless steel cable ring.
How do I clean and maintain my Rig Keeper™?
If your Rig Keeper™ gets fouled with mud or dirt, simply rinse it under running water and blot dry with a clean cloth. You can also use a wooden toothpick to dislodge grit from the die cut holes; however, care should be taken not to gouge the EVA foam material.
How long is the Smith Creek Rig Keeper warrantied for?
Like all Smith Creek fly fishing gear, our Rig Keeper has a one (1) year warranty against defects in material and workmanship. If your Rig Keeper fails during this period, please refer to our Warranty Section for more information.
